GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN - 1 in 10 babies are born prematurely in Michigan, putting them at risk of death or lifelong disability. Dr. Lee Anne Roman has dedicated her professional career to help improve those statistics by focusing her research on the under served in an effort to improve socioeconomic and racial/ethnic disparities in maternal and child health outcomes. Dr. Roman is this year’s 2017 Impact Award Recipient and will receive her award at this year’s Signature Chefs Auction.
