Asgi T. Fazleabas collaboratively participated in the research project Mechanism of histone deacetylase inhibitor as potential therapeutics for endometriosis, the theme of which was Women's Health translational Research in Endometriosis. The funding partners were National Collaborative Initiative Peoples Republic of China.

Uterine Biology and Endometriosis - Long term collaborative projects focused on endometriosis as well as training of students is ongoing between Dr. Asgi Fazleabas, Dr. Idhalisz Flores (Department of Microbiology, Ponce School of Medicine< Ponce, PR) and Dr. Lynnette Ruiz (Caribbean Primate Center, San Juan, PR).
Romania
Smoking cessation during pregnancy – Two NIH-funded and one Romanian-funded projects led by Cristian Meghea are testing interventions focused on couples to increase smoking cessation during pregnancy and prevent postnatal smoking relapse.
Sri Lanka
Collaborations with Dr. Hemantha Senanayake and the Sri Lankan Association for Endometriosis.
