Welcome Dr. Jose Teixeira!

Summary

Welcome message from the Department Chairman, Dr. Richard E. Leach, M.D.:

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Jose Teixeira to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology.

Dr.  Teixeira joins us from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he was also a Principal Investigator at MGH and Dana Farber Harvard Cancer Center.  The  clinical translational applications of his ground-breaking work allow us to better understand the causes and treatment of leiomyoma, ovarian cancer, ovarian failure from chemotherapy and the therapeutic uses of Mullerian Inhibitory Substance in inhibiting oocyte development.  Dr. Teixeira adds another dimension to the Departments research mission and our capabilities to study both benign and cancerous diseases that afflict tens of millions of women each year.

Please read more about Dr. Teixeira's exciting work at http://obgyn.msu.edu/index.php/research/research-faculty/jose-m-teixeira-phd.
