He is an associate professor of the Department of Biomedical Science, and also vice director of Office of Planning and Budgeting, CHA University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Animal Science, Texas A&M University, College Station in 2002 and performed his postdoctoral training in the Department of Molecular and cellular biology, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.
Dr. Choi’s research fields are development and differentiation of gametes (oocyte and sperm) including regulatory mechanism of primordial follicle activation in the ovary and meiotic regulation in the testis. He is also interested in uterine biology during implantation. He generates animal model using knockout or conditional knockout system.
