Dr. Yoon earned his MD and PhD degree from Yonsei University, School of Medicine. Dr. Yoon performed his postdoctoral fellowship of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Yale University, USA. He is currently superintendent of CHA Gangnam Medical Center and Director of Fertility Center of CHA Gangnam Medical Center and also newly opened CHA fertility center, Seoul Station, Korea running more than 10,000 IVF cycles in total per year. He was the committee member of Korea National Bioethics Deliberation. Presently, he serves for many organizations including Korean Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, KOSAR (President) and Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine, KSRM (President); also he is a Dean of College of Medicine, CHA University.
He succeeded the Korea’s first birth through intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in 1993 and Korea’s first baby from cryopreserved oocytes by a survivor of gynecological cancer in 2012.
His interest for research on Assisted Reproductive Technology is still growing and he will continue to contribute to the research.
